Pre Preg Prep

A guide to PRE pregnancy skin prep 🍼✨ - This could be a serious blow of beauty destruction if you’re not prepared. If you’re ready to grow a bun in your oven, make sure you get yourself ready to take a pause from your favorite beauty and maintenance treatments. Don’t wait until the last moment to get it all done because you’re looking at nine months PLUS breastfeeding where your body will be dedicated to someone else. Most of the treatments deemed are likely safe, but because it would be highly unethical to test these during pregnancy, doctors and esthetician’s will not perform them just in case something were to effect the growing 👶🏼. Also with your hormones being hypersensitive during pregnancy, this can cause a beautiful glow on some while others experience reactions to treatments that you can normally tolerate with no problem. So if you are considering a treatment series of anything, try to finish as many sessions as you can it pre-bean. 👉🏼 Medical skin needling, Tattoo (body & cosmetic), all lasers, Cosmetic Injectables / Botox, Peels (AHA is ok) with skincare ingredients you should also be avoiding Vitamin A (accutane, retinA, Tazorac, retinol), salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone, some pure essential oils, DHA, formaldehyde, phthalates.

It can be challenging to feel like your radiant self when you have a little one taking over your body that can cause some skin issues. Go ahead and treat yourself to pregnancy acupuncture, massage, facials such as chemical free dermaplaning or Hydrafacial (omitting the salicylic acid) will keep you feeling fresh, fabulous and feminine AF! 🙌🏼 👑
